Islamabad United beat Karachi Kings by 5 wickets in the sixth fixture of the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) at Karachi's National Stadium. While batting first Karachi Kings gave a whopping 197 runs target to United.

A major fantastic partnership was by captain Babar Azam and Sharjeel Khan as they scored the highest PSL partnership of 176 runs as Karachi Kings posted the highest team’s total of 196-3 in PSL6 against Islamabad United.
A record-breaking opening stand took by Karachi Kings to the highest score in the ongoing match of PSL 6, played at National Stadium Karachi.
United lost their first wicket in the starting over of the fixture after opener Phil Salt was caught out by Daniel Christian off Karachi Kings captain Imad Wasim's delivery. Mohammad Amir struck in the second over as Shadab Khan got out on lbw. The other opener, Alex Hales, managed to save the innings from a completely dismal start, hitting six boundaries in the first five overs.
Alex Hales was declared as the man of the match for his outstanding performance.

Islamabad United’s Shadab Khan won the toss and elects to bowl first against Karachi Kings.
Karachi Kings and Islamabad United have won their first match of the tournament and United after today’s win will join Lahore Qalandars at the top of the table with an unbeaten 2-0 record.
