Tokyo: An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of five struck eastern Japan on Sunday, public broadcaster NHK said.
According to details, the epicentre of the earthquake was the southern part of Ibaraki prefecture, east of the capital Tokyo.
The quake was registered at 12:31 pm local time, with the epicenter located at the depth of 31 miles.
