Lahore: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has won already and all eyes are on March 03 senate polls now.

While speaking to media post meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz, Bilawal said that by-elections have proved that people of this country are with PDM.
“Yousaf Raza Gillani’s win will prove people and parliament are with PDM. Gillani was the longest serving PM who carried out his leader of the house role with responsibility. I am grateful to Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif for their confidence in Gillani,” he said adding that the election campaign for senate polls is going well.
The PPP Chairperson further stated that PDM parties are putting in a combined effort for senate polls.
“We want to revive democracy and our long-term struggle is for limiting every institute to its constitutional role. Every legislator will have to tell his constituency whether he voted for an IMF-backed candidate or for Gillani,” he said.
Bilawal reiterated that opposition is fighting a selected government which has been installed over us.
“It’s very important to restore the process of democracy in the country,” he added.
Speaking on occasion, Maryam Nawaz said thanked Bilawal Bhutto and Yousaf Raza Gillani for coming to meet them.
“Gillani is PDM’s joint candidate. Every pro-democracy person likes Gillani. I hope every pro-democracy legislator will not vote for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) because it is an anti-people party. There is rebellion inside PTI. We are on one side and people’s enemy on the other,” she said.
Maryam further said that PTI’s support is ending and every province is rebelling against the ruling party. “Nobody will vote for this criminal party,” she added.
Referring to the decision of Supreme Court on open ballot, she said that the decision on open ballot is parliament’s domain and a jurisdiction of apex court.
It is pertinent to mention here that Yousaf Raza Gillani is the joint candidate of PDM from Islamabad seat for upcoming senate polls.
