German special envoy calls on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa
The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan's role in the Afghan situation.
Rawalpindi: Special Representative of Germany for Afghanistan & Pakistan (SRAP) Jasper Wieck called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ today.
According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief said that the world cannot afford to have an unstable Afghanistan, prone to economic collapse.
COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa stressed upon the need for global convergence and sincere efforts to avert a looming humanitarian catastrophe in Afghanistan.
With regard to the bilateral relations, COAS said that Pakistan values Germany’s role in global and regional affairs and we look forward to enhance our bilateral relationship.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security, and current situation in Afghanistan were discussed. The meeting also discussed mutual cooperation in the provision of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
