Overall PTI govt will pay $55bn in debt payments in five years


Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has paid $12.27bn foreign debt this year alone.
In a tweet, the minister shared the details of the foreign debts payment. He said that Pakistan has paid $12.27 billion alone in the current fiscal year of 2021-22.
Fawad Chaudhry further said that overall PTI government will pay $55bn in debt payments in the five years as compared to $27bn paid by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in its five-year-term.
Foreign debt payment this year alone is $12.27bn and about same $12.5bn in FY23
