Hokkaido: A Japanese actress and singer known for being in the 2013 movie ‘Frozen’ has died after falling from a hotel balcony.
Sayaka Kanda was known for giving voice to Disney’s animated film ‘Frozen’ main character Anna in the Japanese translation.
Actress and musician Kanda Sayaka was found in a pool of her own blood after falling six storeys at a hotel in Hokkaido, Japan, at 9.40pm on December 18. Despite medics rushing her to hospital, she tragically died after the incident. She was 35-years-old.
Police are investigating the case as a possible suicide but no conspiracy factor can be ruled out.
She was the daughter of 35-year-old Japanese singer Sayaka Kanda, 70-year-old actor Masaki Kanda and 59-year-old singer Seiko Metsuda.
The singer’s death was confirmed after she was taken to hospital, but according to her mother’s office, Seiko Metsuda could not immediately accept her daughter’s death.
On the other hand, according to the producers, Sayaka Kanda did not come to Sapporo Theater on Saturday afternoon for her musical performance ‘My Fair Lady’ while she was participating in a rehearsal the day before.
She has been acting in musicals since she was about 20 years old and was to play the fictional role of Metal in the ‘Galaxy Express 999’ musical in April next year.
