Pakistan marks anniversary of Benazir Bhutto's martyrdom
Benazir Bhutto, the first woman to become prime minister of a Muslim country, was assassinated on December 27, 2007 in an attack after addressing an election rally in Rawalpindi.
Islamabad: The 14th martyrdom anniversary of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto is being observed on Monday (December 27).
Yesterday, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah visited Ghari Khuda Bakhsh following which he said that tight security arrangements have been made to meet any eventuality.
Quran and Fateh Khawani will also be held at her Mazar at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh in Larkana.
Meanwhile, Pakistan People's Party (PPP) will hold special prayer ceremonies across the country for the late leader.
PPP Punjab will also organize a central ceremony at its offices in Lahore, Rawalpindi and South Punjab to pay tributes to Benazir Bhutto for her services for democracy.

PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is due to address a huge e rally, while, Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari will not be able to attend amid health issues.
