Metrobus service was constructed at a cost of Rs29.61 billion


Lahore: The Lahore metrobus project was the cheapest project, declared by report of the Transport Department submitted in Punjab Assembly on Wednesday.
According to the report, the metrobus service was constructed at a cost of Rs29.61 billion. It also states that the metrobus service was constructed by the LDA for the Punjab government.
As many as 137,000 passengers are benefiting daily from the Lahore metrobus service. The fare of one side is Rs30 on the basis of flat rate and this project was completed in 2013.
“The PTI had been blaming the project for costing more than Rs60 billion and the PML-N’s opponents also declared this service as ‘Jangla Bus,” the report further mentioned.
