According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 1,293 persons were tested positive while five died in the past 24 hours— taking Pakistan's COVID death toll to 28,961.
The total number of cases has reached 1,301,141.
As many as 1,258,086 patients have recovered from the disease.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 446,300 in the province with 13,076 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 484,226 in the province, while the death toll has reached 7,676.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 181,573 in the province with 5,938 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 33,654 confirmed cases while 366 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 34,682 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 746. On the other hand, there are 10,429 cases in GB with 186 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 108,984 cases in the capital city while 967 people have lost their lives.
