Sargodha police recover poultry trader from kidnappers' possession
Muzamil was abducted for ransom
Sargodha: Sargodha police claim to have recovered a trader who was kidnapped for ransom.
According to Sargodha District Police Officer Dr Rizwan Ahmed, 27-year-old Muzammil was abducted at gunpoint by four unknown people when he was on his way to a poultry farm.
The kidnapper(s) contacted the victim's brother and demanded ransom. On Sunday, police were tipped off that the abducted and the accused wre present in the area of Jhal Chakian police station.
Police formulated a special plan and raided the hideout. The suspects opened straight fire on policemen.
After firing stopped, police managed to rescue Muzammil who was chained. Suspect Irfan, who was wounded by the firing of his own accomplice, was arrested. Police seized Rs 300,000 on the spot.
Other accomplices of the accused fled the scene, police said. Police teams are searching for the runaway suspects.
