Minor girl, boy murdered after abduction in separate incidents in Punjab
Sheikhupura police are interrogating two suspects
Sheikhupura: A seven-year-old girl and a nine-year-old boy were killed after kidnap in Sharaqpur area of Sheikhupura and Shakagarh area of Narowal, police said saturday.
The victim identified as Mafia disappeared from Bhainipura area after she left home for buying some items. The body was retrieved from the fields of Hakeem Garhi.
The Punjab police chief took notice of the murder and sought a report from Sheikhupura regional police chief.
He directed the Sheikhupura DPO to keep close contact with the girl's family and directed to take strict legal action against the accused and ensure provision of justice to the family on priority basis.
Police detained two suspects for interrogation.
A 9-year-old boy was also found murdered after his alleged abduction in Shakargarh tehsil of Narowal.
The IG Punjab sought report of the incident from the Gujranwala RPO, saying a strict legal action should be taken against the accused at the soonest.
The Narowal polic chief has been ordered to conduct an investigation into the incident under his personal supervision and ensure justice to the bereaved on priority basis.
