Ishaq Dar to lead Pakistani delegation in 15th OIC sessionÂ
The OIC leaders can present a strong, collective and unanimous position on Palestine issue
Islamabad: The foreign minister and deputy prime minister Ishaq Dar will be leading the Pakistani delegation in the 15th session of organization of Islamic cooperation (OIC) held in Gambia on May 4 to 5.
According to the details, Ishaq Dar will also attend the OIC foreign minister’s council meeting on May 2 ahead of the summit which is being called at a critical time for the Muslim Ummah as the war against the people of Gaza continues unabated.
However, it will be an important opportunity for the leaders of the OIC to reflect on the serious situation in Gaza. The OIC leaders can present a strong, collective and unanimous position on the Palestine issue.
Ishaq Dar will be discussing the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the right of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to self-determination. He will also discuss the need for unity of the Muslim countries amid growing Islamophobia, Pakistan's approach to the issues.
Deputy prime minister will be discussing on terrorism and other contemporary global challenges and the need to find a collective solution to the challenges facing the Muslim Ummah will be emphasized.

US appreciates Pakistanâs initiatives against terrorismÂ
America supports Pakistan's efforts to combat terrorism and ensure the safety of its citizens
Washington: America has appreciated the initiatives of Pakistan against the terrorism.
According to the details, the vice spokesperson of the American foreign department Vedant Patel was giving a press briefing regarding to combat with the terrorism.
He stated that America and Pakistan have a common interest in dealing with the regional security threats. America supports Pakistan's efforts to combat terrorism and ensure the safety of its citizens.
Spokesperson also said that America expects a response from India on the conspiracy to kill Gurpat Singh and will continue to raise the concerns with the Indian government at senior levels.
Vedant Patel added that under secretary political affairs John Bass will go to Islamabad where he will be meeting with the Pakistani officials.

Mohsin Naqvi announces to upgrade coastal guardsÂ
The performance of coast guards is excellent despite the limited resources
Karachi: The federal interior minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced to upgrade the Pakistan coastal guards.
According to the details, Mohsin Naqvi chaired a meeting at the headquarters of Pakistan coast guards in which secretary interior, senior officials and officers of Pakistan coast guards participated.
He stated that Pakistan coastal guards will be upgraded on modern lines. The coastal guards have to play an important role for anti-smuggling.
Interior minister added that Pakistan coast guards have to play a more active role to prevent smuggling from coastal areas. The performance of coast guards is excellent despite the limited resources.
