Lahore: The weather in Lahore city will remain cloudy today (Monday), and there is a possibility of rain in night.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be clouds in the sky in the provincial capital, and some drizzle is expected during the day.

The weather forecasters say that the minimum temperature of the city will be 30 degrees and the maximum will be 36 degrees Celsius.

According to the Department of Meteorology, the humidity ratio in the air will remain up to 81 percent. The wind will continue to blow intermittently, the cloudy weather of the city is likely to persist for a few days and the average Air Quality Index (AQI) of Lahore is up to 170.

Maryam orders state depts monitoring via technology

She directed to increase reliance on technology to improve monitoring of government departments related to public service

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Monday said that the reliance on technology should be increased to improve the monitoring of government departments.

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam was met by Chairperson Chief Minister Directorate of Evaluation, Feedback, Inspection and Monitoring Brigadier (Rtd) Babar Alauddin. She congratulated Brigadier (Rtd) Babar on assuming the post and expressed best wishes.

On this occasion, proposals and recommendations for governance, and transparency at the administrative level were discussed. The method of including public opinion in government decisions and policy-making was also discussed.

Maryam Nawaz directed to increase reliance on technology to improve monitoring of government departments related to public service while also ordered to create modern training mechanisms for administration and police.

Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the establishment of the performance index has increased the sense of responsibility among the officers. The performance index should be strictly monitored.

Downfall in PSX, Index falls below 80,000 points

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continues to decline on the first business day of the week i.e. Monday.

At the start of trading on the first day of the business week, the 100-Index also fell by 80,000 points due to the fall in the stock market.

100-Index is trading at the level of 79,753 points in the Pakistan Stock Exchange after a decrease of 364 points.

It is pertinent to note that on the last day of the last business week, a negative trend was seen at the beginning of the business in the stock exchange. However, at the end of the trading, the 100-Index closed at the level of 80,116 points with a decrease of 1,722 points.
