British govt has made immigration process digital, secure, and faster

Islamabad: The UK has introduced an e-visa system for Pakistani students, athletes, business people and professionals. From today, there will be no need for a physical visa sticker on study and work visas for the UK.
British High Commissioner Jane Marriott said that the British government has made the immigration process digital, secure, and faster. Now, the UK visa can be obtained through an online UKVI account. The new system will save time and provide a simple process.
Jane Marriott stated that the implementation of e-visas will not have any impact on immigration status or conditions. The e-visa scheme will be for students, global talent, sportspersons, and skilled workers. E-visa will also apply to youth mobility, temporary work, and business mobility visas.
The UK is launching eVisas in Pakistan for most students and workers applying for more than 6 months! It will make it simpler and safer, and you can hold on to your passport.

She added that under the new system, passport holders will be able to link their documents to the UKVI account. An online view and proof service has been introduced to prove visa status.
The British High Commissioner to Pakistan clarified that a physical sticker will still be required for regular visitor visas and dependent visas, and that old physical visa holders will not need to take any additional action.
