Cypher Case: Hearing on appeals against Imran, Shah sentence today

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear the appeals against the conviction of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the cypher case today (Tuesday).

A division bench consisting of Chief Justice IHC Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb will conduct the hearing.

During the hearing, arguments will be given by the lawyers on the appeals against the sentence.

On the other hand, the hearing will be held today on the petition filed for the medical examination of the wife of PTI founder Bushra Bibi.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb will hear the application of Bushra Bibi, the fear of food poisoning has been expressed in the application.

Israel releases 150 Palestinians during Gaza attacks

Jerusalem: Israel has released 150 Palestinians during the Gaza attacks.

According to the details, Gaza crossing authority stated that Israeli forces have done severe violence on Palestinian prisoners. There are two members of Palestinian crescent included in the ones who just got release from Israel.

Spokesperson of the Gaza crossing authority said that the released Palestinian prisoners have transferred to hospital for treatment.

The Palestinians who got release from Israel said that Israel had questioned about Hamas during the severe military violence.

In accordance with the Palestinian prisoner’s association 9,100 Palestinian are in the imprisonment of Israel who belonged to Gaza and west bank.

Saudi delegation to meet apex committee of SIFC today

Islamabad: Saudi Arabia's delegation will meet the apex committee of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) Tuesday to finalize investment in important projects in Pakistan.

According to the details, the delegation headed by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has reached Pakistan on a two-day visit. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed the high-level delegation of Saudi Arabia at the airport.

Industry and Mineral Resources, Deputy Minister of Investment, Head of Saudi Special Committee, Ministry of Energy and officials of Saudi Fund are also part of the delegation.

The Saudi delegation will review investment opportunities during their stay in Pakistan and there is a strong possibility of finalizing the investment plans. Another high-powered delegation headed by the Saudi Deputy Defense Minister will arrive in Pakistan today to finalize plans related to defense production and defense cooperation. As a result of the visit, Pakistan's export capacity will increase.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Saudi counterpart will hold a joint press conference today. Besides, the guest delegation is also expected to meet with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Army Chief Syed Asim Munir.

In the meetings, Saudi Arabia's interest in agriculture, energy, trade, minerals, IT, transport sectors, Saudi investment in Rekodic project will be discussed.
