Official rate list Implementation major task of administration

Lahore: Information Minister Punjab Azma Bokhari said that the prices of vegetables and fruits are getting low, which is the result of the best performance of the administration of all the districts of Punjab, the implementation of the official rate list is the biggest task of the administration.

Punjab Information Minister stated that onion has become cheaper by Rs29, tomato by Rs24 and potato by Rs22 in one week. The prices of other vegetables have also decreased by 15 to 20 rupees. As a result of the excellent performance of the administration of all districts, price control magistrates and teams are active across the province following the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz.

Azma Bokhari added: “The biggest task is to implement the official rate list. For this all the Deputy Commissioners (DC), Assistant Commissioners (AC) and Commissioner should visit the markets on a daily basis. Maryam Nawaz's mission is to provide low-cost roti and vegetables to the common public as it is their basic needs of the common man. Therefore, the price of vegetables and bread should be within the reach of the general public”.

The Provincial Information Minister further said that our Chief Minister has also come to set the price of onion and tomato and to provide cheap food and drink to the people. Maryam Nawaz is the voice of common man, her mission is to bring ease in the lives of women and youth.

She further stated said that Maryam Nawaz is worried about the 110 million people of Punjab and not about the verbal abuse brigade. People gave us the mandate to solve the problems and we will fulfill their trust.

CJP disposes of 46 cases in five days

These cases were civil, criminal, contract related to recruitment of employees and land.

Karachi: The significant progress has been made in the cases under hearing in the Supreme Court Karachi Registry.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa disposed of 46 cases in five days.

Most of the disposed of cases were pending in the Supreme Court for 15 years. From April 22 to 26, 49 cases were scheduled for hearing at the Supreme Court Registry.

These cases were civil, criminal, contract related to recruitment of employees and land.

The Chief Justice also ordered the end of encroachments outside buildings, on highways and footpaths.

KP govt to buy local wheat

It is pertinent to note that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced this when there in delay in Punjab to purchase wheat.

Peshawar: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to buy 300 thousand metric tons of local wheat.

According to the provincial food minister, the government has fixed the price of wheat at Rs3900 per maund and the government has decided to buy 300,000 metric tons of local wheat.

Food Minister Zahir Shah Toro said that 29 billion rupees have been allocated for the purchase of wheat, buying wheat at the local level will save Rs9 billion.

It is pertinent to note that the announcement of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has come at a time when farmers have been forced to sell their cultivated wheat on the streets of the city due to the delay in the purchase of wheat in Punjab and the farmers' organizations have also called a protest on April 29 outside Punjab Assembly.
