How to register for the vaccine?

In Pakistan, the federal government has announced the provision of free vaccines to all citizens, in addition to allowing private companies to import vaccines.

For registration of vaccine, citizens have to send their ID card number to 1166 after which they will receive a reply message that the registration process is complete.

For registration, NARDA has also developed a special software called National Immunization Management System (NIMS).

Citizens can register for the corona vaccine on their computer or mobile phone by visiting https://nims.nadra.gov.pk/nims/.

After sending an SMS or registering via NIMS, citizens will receive the address of the nearest Vaccine Centre via SMS according to the current address on your ID card.

People will then have to wait and as soon as the vaccine becomes available at their registered centre they will be informed via SMS the date and time of vaccination. A PIN code will also be sent via SMS that is a must to bring along for getting vaccinated.

Citizens will be vaccinated by trained staff members after verification of identity. After the vaccine is given, a person is kept in the centre for at least 30 minutes under monitoring.
