“Dwarves trying to knock out a giant”: Fawad
Opposition’s political dwarfs trying to topple a giant, says Chaudhry Fawad
Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Wednesday compared the role of political dwarfs of the opposition in the current political situation with English writer Jonathan Swift’s book “Gulliver’s Travels”.
On his official twitter handle, the Federal Minister, sharing the title page of the book, said that the political dwarves were trying to topple a giant (Imran Khan) like the Lilliputians of Gulliver’s Travels.
Gulliver’s Travels— a novel which is a satire about politics— is quite related and best depiction of current political scenario in Pakistan.
In the novel, Gulliver encounters giant Brobdingnagian, who were more generous and simple. Incidentally, they worked together and actually managed to subdue Gulliver, in the story.
The causes of Gulliver's misadventures become more malignant as time goes on—he is first shipwrecked, then abandoned, then attacked by strangers, then attacked by his own crew.
