Islamabad: Former Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary and some journalists engaged into a heated argument during a press conference outside Supreme Court (SC) Wednesday.

During the press conference in Islamabad, Fawad Chaudhry started addressing the media persons when a journalist named Matiullah Jan raised a question, to which the former minister replied indecently.

“You are not a journalist, but a Youtuber,” said Fawad terming him as a puppet (Rented journalist).

“I am not answering any of your questions,” he added.

Media representatives, however, reacted strongly to Fawad Chaudhary's remarks and boycotted the media talks, demanding apology.

The situation took an ugly turn after the journalists protested and chanted slogans against Fawad Chaudhry's use of foul language.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader became visibly irked as the journalist detached all the microphones from the table, maintaining that no coverage will be given to him until he apologises.

During the altercation, Asad Umar and Ali Muhammad Khan, tried to settle the matter and urged Chaudhary to apologise. Moreover, some fellow journalists also tried to dissolve the matter in a peaceful manner, but, they couldn't.

Nevertheless, Fawad Chaudhry refused to adhere to such a request and left.
