Man hit by train while filming TikTok video in Sheikhupura
Lahore: Following an unfortunate incident, a young man was hit and killed by a train in Sheikhpura while filming a video for TikTok,
As per details, the deceased identified as Asif, was shooting the video for the popular video platform Tiktok when he was hit by a train that was travelling from Lahore to Narowal.
The Railway police rushed to the site after getting information and shifted the body to the hospital.
Moreover, the incident is not of first of its kind as a number of incidents like this have been reported across the country.
Earlier this week, the Peshawar High Court (PHC) has ordered to ban video-sharing app TikTok.
In this regard, a hearing was conducted in PHC on a petition filed by an Advocate Nazish Muzaffar to ban TikTok, a mobile app used by teenagers to make and share videos, in Pakistan.
Speaking during proceedings, CJP Peshawar High Court Justice Qaiser Khan stated that the videos uploaded on TikTok are against our cultural and moral values.
Director General Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (DG PTA) told court that they have requested TikTok authorities to regulate inappropriate and obscene content.
Earlier on July 21, 2020 the PTA had issued a final warning to TikTok. The app was directed to introduce a complete mechanism to control “obscenity, vulgarity, and immorality through its social media platform”. The state connected the orders of the Peshawar High Court.
