Maryam claims PM Shehbaz to announce 'relief' for masses as global oil prices fall
-- Says PML-N will steer the country out of the difficulty no matter how tough the situation is
Sheikhupura: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would announce a “relief package” for the people of Pakistan soon as oil prices have fallen in the global market, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz claimed on Friday.
Addressing a public gathering in Sheikhupura, she said people would follow Nawaz Sharif even if he’s was jail or London.
The PML-N leader asked the masses why PTI Chairman Imran Khan appeared on TV daily, only to abuse people, but didn't offer any help to those in need when he was in power.
“Imran Khan, in his 1.5-hour speech, coudn't talk about [PTI’s] performance in Punjab even for 1.5 minutes. Punjab is still standing with the lion today,” said Maryam.
The PML-N stalwart claimed that people were aware of factors responsible for the ongoing inflation, adding the party would steer the country out of the difficulty no matter how tough the situation was.
Maryam said Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif had already taken the country out of the crisis, adding the lion was coming to roar in July.
She said Punjab would not not forgive you [Imran Khan[ for the snack you had snatched from the mouths of the people, adding they [government] would give free electricity to the people after July 17.
Talking about inflation, Maryam said that it was because of Imran Khan, the government had to increase the price of electricity.
"The Imran government struck an agreement with the IMF and the prices had to be increased because of that agreement. The inflation in Pakistan is due to Imran Khan's 4 years of oppression."
"Whatever you do, Nawaz and Shehbaz will light the house of the poor."
