Pak vs India: Arch-rivals poised for fierce cricket battle
Cricket fans anticipate jaw-dropping, eye-popping moments as Pakistan and India have engaged in some thrilling matches that have drawn attention from all across the world during the Asia Cup.
Dubai: Reigniting the long-standing rivalry, Pakistan will lock horns with India in the second match of the Asia Cup 2022 tournament in Dubai Cricket Stadium on Sunday (August 28).
Both teams are part of the same group, hence, it is tempting to think that the cricket rivalry between India and Pakistan is passé, a thing of the past century.
The two sides might encounter each other multiple times in the 2022 edition of the Asia Cup tournament because of the placement in the same group and the format of the tournament.

Last time the teams met at the World T20 in October 2021 where the national team trashed India by ten wickets.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan will be without fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who has been ruled out of the tournament, owing to a knee injury.
Ahead of Asia Cup 2022, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released videos from the venue of players from the two countries greeting each other with warmth and enquiring after one another's families.
The 15th Asia Cup, played among six teams in two groups of three each was to be held in Sri Lanka but moved to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to the country’s economic and political condition.
The teams from each group play each other in the 'Super Four'-- will be played from September 3-9, and the top two will march towards the final on September 11.
