Pakistan adversely affected by climate change: Sherry
The Minister said Pakistan is adversely affected by climate change but its contribution to greenhouse gases is very little.
Islamabad: Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman says Indus River is economic, agricultural and climatic jugular vein of Pakistan.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Thursday, she said change in Indus River impacts economy of Pakistan.
The Minister said Pakistan is adversely affected by climate change but its contribution to greenhouse gases is very little.
She said citizens and provinces will be participating in climate adaptation project titled "The Living Indus'. She said this project is great climate project of Pakistan's history.
Senator Sherry Rehman Indus River is facing pollution and we need to avert these changes. She said ministry has prepared 25 interventions for adaptation.
