Pak rupee weakens 95 paisa against dollar in interbank
The local unit closed at Rs220.68
Karachi: The Pakistani rupee continued losing value against the US dollar on Wednesday, weakening 95 paisa in the interbank trade.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the dollar gained 95 paisa to close at Rs220.68 with depriciation of 0.43 per cent.
On Tuesday, the dollar was closed at Rs219.73. In the open market, the greenback gained Rs1.50 to close at Rs224,40.
According to currency analysists, the import payments and political uncertainty in the country exterted pressures on the local currency.
