Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhary Thursday announced to commence a protest movement from today against the inflation, load shedding of gas and electricity and arrest of Senator Azam Swati.
Talking to the media in Lahore, Fawad Chaudhry stated that PTI will start a protest movement from Friday, and in the first phase the assembly members will lead the protest in their respective constituencies for three weeks.
PTI leader urged the nation to join the party in the protest and informed that Imran Khan will join the campaign after three weeks and this process will continue till this government is ousted.
He said: “Azam Swati had expressed reservations about the Chief Justice High Court, there will be a massive protest in front of the building on Monday,” added that 45 First Investigation Reports (FIRs) had been registered against Swati.
The only solution to the country's problems is nothing but clean and transparent elections and some elements did want polls to take place, he emphasized.
In response about the plan to bring forth technocrat government, the former minister further said that PTI senior leadership had rejected the echo of technocratic government, those who dream of technocratic government should know that this plan will not be fulfilled.
Fawad Chaudhry told that Nawaz Sharif wants to impose partial law, however, it is Imran’s patience that had not allowed to execute any such plan.
He further said that we are the majority party in Punjab, and we will ask Speaker Punjab Assembly to share the engagements of Asif Zardari, Nasir Shah and Sharjeel Memon with the Election Commission.
