PTI kicks off first anti-inflation rally in Lahore
The participants are also raising slogans and holding placards against inflation.
Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) rally against inflation Sunday kicked off its first day in Azadi Chowk Lahore, GNN reported.
According to detailas, a huge number of people had participated in the protest which was led by provincial health minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid.
The rally will be concluded at Yateem Khana Chowk Lahore.
The participants had also raising slogans and were holding placards against inflation.
The second rally will be organized by Allama Iqbal, Gulberg, Walton Cantt and Nishtar town’s bodies from Thokar Niaz Baig to Chungi on Ferozepur Road on January 8 (Sunday).
Whereas the third one will be headed by Wagah, Aziz Bhatti and Lahore Cantt towns organizers from Harbanspura Chowk to Dharampura Chowk on January 15 (Sunday).
Earlier on December 29, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary announced to commence a protest movement against the inflation, load shedding of gas and electricity and arrest of Senator Azam Swati.
Talking to the media in Lahore, Fawad Chaudhry stated that PTI will start a protest movement from Friday, and in the first phase the assembly members will lead the protest in their respective constituencies for three weeks.
PTI leader urged the nation to join the party in the protest and informed that Imran Khan will join the campaign after three weeks and this process will continue till this government is ousted.
