Chichawatni: At least two people were killed while three others sustained injuries on Thursday after a blast hit Jaffar Express— which was travelling from Quetta to Peshawar— near Punjab's Chichawatni.
According to details, the explosion occurred after a passenger hid a cylinder in his luggage and took it to the bathroom where it exploded, causing casualties and injuries, who were moved to a nearby hospital.

Just a month ago, on January 30, the same train was targeted in a blast, injuring at least eight passengers, two of them seriously, and derailing two bogies of the train near the Mach area in the Kachhi district of Balochistan.
The nature of the blasts is still unknown, according to sources.
In the meantime, an investigation is ongoing, and the authorities are expected to take swift action to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
