HBL PSL 8: Multan Sultans win by 56 runs

Multan: Mulan Sultans on Friday won by 56 runs in the fifth match of onging mega event of season 8 HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Multan Sadium.

Sultans had set the target of 211 runs for Peshawar Zalmis in the fifth match of season eight HBL Pakistan Super League at Multan Stadium.

Sultans lost only three wickets and gave a huge target to Zalmis.

Earlier,  Zalmi won the toss and decided to bowl first against Multan Sultans in the fifth match of the ongoing HBL Pakistan Super League at Multan Stadium.

Peshawar Zalmi played one and won one as they beat Karachi Kings in their opening match by 2 runs. Multan Sultans played two, won one and lost one. They started off their campaign with a narrow one run defeat in a nail-biter against Lahore Qalandars but came back strongly with convincing 9-wicket victory against Quetta Gladiators.

 

Both the teams make one change each. In Sultans Brathwaite comes in place of Akeal Hosein and Rovman Powell replaces Shakib Al Hasan for Zalmi.

Zalmi started off nicely specially Haris and Saim, the excellent direct hit by Abbas which changed the game and broke the partnership between Saim and Hairs. After that Sultans never looked back, their bowlers did the job and got the wickets when needed and bowled out Zalmi for 154. Usama and Ihsanullah took 3-wicket each.
