Maryam Nawaz urges judiciary for ‘self-accountability’

Rawalpindi: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior vice-president Nawaz Sharif claimed that her party had an army of youths and the upcoming election would uncover this secret.

Maryam Nawaz gave Imran Khan a new name of “Mehngai Khan” and said that they would send both Imran Khan and “Mehngai Khan” out of the country.

“Why Imran Khan was not brought to the meeting with IMF? He should have been there as he led to such situation,” said the PML-N Senior Vice-President while addressing the party’s organizational convention in Rawalpindi on Sunday.

Khan, she said, was not responsible only for IMF deal and the crisis but his wife who is said to be a house wife is also responsible as she used to get diamonds against signatures on the files.

She stated that the PTI’s four years performance was zero as they did not have even a single project to say.

“Now he is coming by using the judiciary’s shoulders,” said Maryam Nawaz,  pointing out towards an alleged audio of Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi.

She also mentioned the name of the Supreme Court judge during her speech. 

“Justice Sayyed Mazhar Ali Akbar Naqvi should resign. Should he resign or not? He is still silent,” said Maryam Nawaz while naming the Supreme Court Judge.

She urged the judiciary for self-accountability, saying that “Baba Rehmat” could not go to any public place. she stated that hte country needed "Emandar judges [honest judges] and not "Imrandaar judges" [the supporters of Imran Khan]. 

The PML-N senior vice-president also questioned the blame of running anti-judiciary campaign.

“Why Imran Khan does not appear before the court?” she asked the PTI Chief, adding that Nawaz Sharif appeared around 200 times before the court.

“You are being facilitated and even then PML-N is being blamed of anti-judiciary campaign,” said Maryam Nawaz. She stated that there were genuine cases against Imran Khan including the case of Tyrian.

She said that he used to make fun of Nawaz Sharif’s illness.

“He asks people for jail Bharo Tehreek. But later night asks Dogar if the police are coming or not to arrest him,” she added.

“Can a coward man be leader of this nation?,” said the PML-N, feeling pride of her party leaders.

“A Lion’s heart is needed to go to jails,” said Maryam.

She stated that Rana Sanaullah, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Haneef Abbasi and she went to jails but they did not cry even for a single day.

“Your people [PTI leaders] are crying after undergoing just for couple of days. At least ask them not to cry,” she said, adding that she was arrested in front of her father and daughter.

Maryam also said that when Rana Sanaullah would decide to arrest then there would be no one to save him.

“He [Khan ] knows his cases are genuine and it is the reason he does not appear before the courts. He is one of the biggest thieves in the country’s history who is hiding in Zaman Park’s bunker,” she added.

The PML-N leader said that the PML-N did not fear of elections as it did not came into power through selection.

“PML-N is there in the field. It is there to win the elections,” she claimed, urging her party workers to get ready for elections.  She said that PML-N would take the country out of crisis she added.
