Ramadan moon sighted in Pakistan
Ramadan moon has been sighted in Pakistan and tomorrow Wednesday, April 13 will be the first Ramadan.
This was announced by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan head Maulana Abdul Khabir in a press conference a short while ago after chairing a meeting of the committee in Peshawar.
Meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan was held under the leadership of Maulana Abdul Khabir was held on April 13 here in Peshawar to sight the moon.
Earlier, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry had predicted in separate tweets in early April that the first fast in Pakistan this year would be on April 14.
The Ramadan moon will be clearly visible in Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and Karachi, the statement said.
For the first time, the Central Committee had formed Ruet-e-Hilal Committees at the district level to ensure that eyewitnesses were inspected.
It is noteworthy that the moon-sighting committee in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced on Sunday that the first day of Ramadan will be April 13, Tuesday. The committee said that the crescent moon wasn't sighted on Sunday evening and the decision was made accordingly.
