PM directs to complete Lahore development projects soon

Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Sunday visited ongoing development projects in Lahore to review the pace of work and directed for fast-paced completion.

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, the Chief Secretary and other officials were also present on the occasion.

Prime Minister visited the site of the under construction Lahore Flyover Bridge near Arfa Karim IT Tower.

Shehbaz Sharif directed to complete the Lahore overhead Bridge project in one month.

Later, he also visited and inspected the ongoing work on the Central Business District (CBD) project near Kalma Chowk.

The prime minister expressed his displeasure over the pace of work and the shutdown program by the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO).

The prime minister directed for initiation of legal action against the official concerned for the delay and desired completion of the process of CBD in two weeks.

He said an early completion of the project near Kalma Chowk will facilitate the public in general.

While giving a detailed briefing, the Chief Engineer of Lahore District Authority (LDA) Israr Saeed said: “This is a project of Lahore Development Authority, to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs1712 million started in the year 2021, but delayed for two years due to the issuance of no objection certificate (NOC)”.
