Govt reduces petrol price by Rs12 per litre
The Finance Ministry says the new price of the petrol will be Rs 270 per liter as per the fortnightly review.
Islamabad: The federal government, led by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), on Monday announced a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs12 per litre to Rs270 per litre, following a decline in international oil prices. The new price will come into effect from Tuesday, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced reduction in the petrol prices, saying that hopefully the prices of the other things would also go down with the decrease in the prices of the petroleum products. According to the Minister of Finance, the price of petrol in the country has been reduced by Rs 12 per liter, after which the new price will be Rs 270 per liter.
They said that the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs 30 per liter, while the price of kerosene oil has also been reduced by Rs 12 per liter. Finance Minister Dar also requested the transporters to cut down the prices of the petroleum products.
