Lahore: In a significant development, a police team led by the Lahore Commissioner reached the residence of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in Zaman Park on Friday.

The latest reports said that the team reached for the search of the house.

However, Caretaker Punjab Information Minister Amir Mir said that the team was not there for search but was there to set the SOPs with Imran Khan in this regard.  Imran Khan and his legal team is also present there.

Earlier today, the authorized police team initiated the search operation at Imran Khan's residence, following the consent granted by his legal team. Under the careful supervision of the Lahore Commissioner, the team is currently conducting a thorough search of the PTI chairman's house. Imran Khan himself, accompanied by media representatives and lawyers, is present at the location. It has been revealed that the team will also engage in a meeting with Imran Khan to discuss further details and protocols.

Previously, the police successfully obtained a search warrant for Imran Khan's residence, which was officially issued by ATC Judge Abhar Gul Khan yesterday. However, Amir Mir, the caretaker Information Minister of Punjab, made it clear that the team's current objective does not involve the search itself, but rather the establishment of SOPs to govern the process.

In another significant development today, Imran Khan secured bail in three cases related to the violent incidents that occurred on May 9 within the country. The court directed him to fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation. Later, Imran Khan, accompanied by his legal team, promptly appeared before the Lahore High Court, where he was granted bail in the Zill-e-Shah murder case.
