Election Commission’s lawyer Sajeel Swati will continue arguments today.
Islamabad: Supreme Court of Pakistan Monday will hear the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) review petition against the decision to hold elections in Punjab.
According to details, a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Atta Bandial will hold the hearing at 12:15 pm in which Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan and Justice Muneeb Akhtar are part of the bench.
Earlier on April 4, the apex court had ordered elections to be held in Punjab on May 14. However, despite the passing of the deadline of May 14, the court order was not followed.
The federal government, caretaker Punjab government and ECP have submitted their responses in the case.
