PML-N intra-party polls scheduled today in Islamabad
PM Shehbaz is likely to be elected party President unopposed
Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) intra-party elections are likely to be held today on Friday in Islamabad. The Chief Organizer of the party Maryam Nawaz has already reached Islamabad for the intra-party polls scheduled at Pakistan Muslim League-N secretariat in the federal capital. The party’s General Council meeting is also scheduled today in which some amendments in the party’s constitution are being expected. The amendments in the PML-N constitution will be made to make social media wing as a regular wing of the party. The amendment to include the social media in the constitution of PML-N is being adopted on the direction of Maryam Nawaz who has already taken approval from the party’s supremo Nawaz Sharif.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is likely to be elected again as PML-N President unopposed. The incumbent Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal is likely to get his office again as he enjoys trust of both the Sharifs. Maryam Nawaz will retain the office of Chief Organizer and Senior Vice President of the party. Moreover, Hamza Shehbaz, Kh Saad Rafique, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Kh Asif, Rana Sanaullah and Rana Tanveer will also get important responsibilities of the party.
