Khadija Shah files bail plea in Askari Tower case
The counsel of the PTI supporter argues that she has nothing to do with the involvement in the Askari Tower attack incident.
Lahore: Khadija Shah, a prominent fashion designer, on Wednesday approached an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) seeking bail in the case related to the attack on Askari Tower.
Ms. Shah's plea was filed following her arrest in connection with the May 9 violence. In the plea submitted to the ATC in Lahore, her lawyer argued that she had no involvement in the Askari tower attack incident.
The ATC directed both the prosecution and the defense regarding the case and adjourned the hearing.
Earlier this week, Khadija Shah was remanded to judicial custody and subsequently sent to jail by the ATC in Lahore.
The Gulberg police station had registered a case of arson and vandalism in relation to a plaza located in Gulberg, Lahore. In contrast to the claims made by the prosecution, the suspects have maintained their innocence, asserting that they have been falsely implicated in the case and are now seeking bail.
