The party's Secretary General, Omar Ayub Khan, issues a notice stating that Khattak failed to provide a satisfactory reply within the given time frame regarding his alleged contact with party members and attempts to incite them to leave the party.

Peshawar: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has terminated the basic party membership of former Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister and senior party leader Pervez Khattak. The termination comes in response to allegations of inciting party members to revolt.
The party's Secretary General, Omar Ayub Khan, issued a notice stating that Khattak failed to provide a satisfactory reply within the given time frame regarding his alleged contact with party members and attempts to incite them to leave the party. The notice, available with sources, officially terminates Khattak's PTI membership with immediate effect.

Last month, PTI Peshawar Deputy Secretary Information Khalid Khan Supari revealed that Khattak had been in contact with party leaders, attempting to convince them to leave the party.
Khattak previously served as the Chief Minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and held the position of Defense Minister during the PTI government in both Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and at the federal level.
It is worth noting that Khattak had announced his resignation from all PTI positions during a news conference in Islamabad in May. He condemned the incidents of May 9 and called for action against those responsible. However, he later clarified that he remained a part of the PTI but had resigned from his posts.
