Dubai: Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has presented an entire herd of horses as a gift to an 8-year-old Iraqi girl.

Last week, a viral video on Twitter showed Laneya Fakher, the young horse rider from Iraq, mourning her beloved horse 'Jasno' as she stood beside its lifeless body.

The video touched the hearts of viewers, and in a heartwarming gesture, Sheikh Mohammed gifted Laneya an entire herd of horses to help console her after the loss.

Laneya had received 'Jasno' as a gift from her father when she was just 5 years old.

In her video, Laneya revealed that 'Jasno' had fallen ill recently, and she had tried her best to take care of him and save him.

She considered 'Jasno' her close friend, and the bond they shared will forever remain in her heart.

In addition to the gift of horses, Sheikh Mohammed also ordered the construction of an equestrian center to provide Laneya with proper training and nurture her abilities as well as teach other children the art of horse riding.
