35 killed, 200 injured in bomb blast in JUI’s Bajaur rally
Police said that a blast occured at JUI-F workers convention in Bajaur.
Bajaur: At least 35 people were killed and 200 others suffered injuries on Sunday in an bomb blast attack on Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) workers' convention in Bajaur’s Khar area.
The rescue teams reached the blast site and shifted injured to the hospital. Police said that a blast occurred at JUI-F workers convention in Bajaur.
JUI-F Khar tehsil chief Maulana Ziaullah Jan was also killed in the attack.
Rescue 1122 spokesperson Bilal Faizi said that five ambulances had reached the spot. He added that so far, around 120 injured people had been shifted to the hospital.
Further, JUI-F MNA Jamaluddin and former senator Abdur Rasheed were also present at the JUI-F workers' convention when the blast occurred.
Following the explosion, Jamaluddin was unharmed, according to JUI-F provincial spokesperson Jalil Jan.
