Instead of finding a solution, the authorities opted to sever the water connections in New Karachi

Residents in New Karachi have been grappling with water scarcity for several days, and despite numerous complaints, their cries for help seem to have fallen on deaf ears.

The situation has forced them to resort to collecting dirty water from nearby Burma and using it for basic needs while being compelled to purchase drinking water separately. The non-availability of water has created immense hardships, affecting everyone from women and children to the elderly.

In a bid to survive, many are traveling from distant areas on rickshaws and motorbikes in search of water.
