National squash hero Hamza Khan returns from Australia
Lahore: Pakistan's national athletes are gearing up to make their mark at the upcoming Asian Games, with a strong determination to win medals for their country.
Speaking exclusively to the media, national athlete Shajar Abbas emphasized that despite facing limited opportunities for competition in Pakistan, they are relentlessly working hard and are determined to secure medals at the Asian Games.
In a joyous homecoming, national squash hero Hamza Khan returned to Pakistan from Australia.
He was warmly welcomed at the Islamabad Airport by officials from the Army Sports Directorate and the Pakistan Sports Board.
Squash Federation officials, including Coach Asif Khan, were also present to greet him.
Hamza Khan's triumphant return comes after 37 years since Pakistan last claimed the World Junior Squash title, achieved by the legendary Jansher Khan in 1986.
Hamza's recent victory adds a new chapter to Pakistan's squash legacy.
In recognition of his remarkable achievement, Prime Minister, Shandar Qarz-e-Hasna Scheme, has announced a cash award of one crore rupees for Hamza Khan.
