PM lauds FBR on record tax collection of Rs384b in April
Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan lauded the efforts of The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on achieving a record tax collection of Rs384 billion during the month of April.
Taking to twitter, PM said during July-April the collections reached 3780 billion rupees, 14 percent higher than same period last year.
PM added that the current government's policies had led to "broad-based economic revival."
According to the tax authorities, the FBR exceeded its revenue collection target by Rs34 billion to Rs384bn in the month of April.
The net collection for April was Rs384bn against a target of Rs350bn, an increase of 9.7%. Revenue collection showed growth of 57% compared to the collection of Rs244bn in April 2020.
