Mumbai: The famous Bollywood track 'What Jhoomka' from Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's recent movie "Rocky Rani ki Prem Kahani" has gained massive popularity.

However, it has also attracted sharp criticism from the legendary Indian singer Asha Bhosle.

The song 'What Jhoomka' from the recently released featuring Renovir Singh and Alia Bhatt, has been making waves.

The song has garnered over 70 million views on YouTube.

Numerous Bollywood stars, along with Pakistani artists and TikTokers, joined the trend and shared their renditions of 'What Jhoomka' on social media platforms.

Yet, this song didn't sit well with the renowned Indian vocalist Asha Bhosle, who questioned the creativity of the music director and voiced her criticism, suggesting they lack the ability to create something new.

In an interview, Asha Bhosle stated that if music directors and singers aren't capable of bringing freshness to the field, they should refrain from creating remixes of older songs, citing 'What Jhoomka' as an example of this trend.

Bhosle emphasized that older songs encompass a combination of lyrics, vocals, music, and acting, and without adequate attention to these aspects, the visual representation tends to lack impact.

She highlighted that creating good work requires the effort of a team.

It's worth noting that 'What Jhoomka' is a remake of the iconic song 'Jhumka Gira Re Bareilly Ke Bazaar Mein' from the 1966.
