PAKW vs SAW: Kapp, Luus tons power South Africa to 292/4 against Pakistan

Karachi: Sune Luus and Marizanne Kapp made outstanding centuries to lead South Africa to 292/4 against Pakistan in the first PAKW vs SAW ODI on Friday.
Luus and Kapp both scored a century as South Africa elected to bat first, reaching a huge total of 292/4.
Earlier, the openers provided a flying start as they charged on the Pakistan bowlers early on before both perished in successive overs to leave South Africa reeling at 40/2 in the fifth over.
Tazmin Brits and Laura Wolvaardt, two in-form openers who scored 17 each in the first ODI between PAKW and SAW, were unable to make much of an impact.
Lara Goodall, who batted at number three, sought to lead the innings with a conservative 24-run partnership with Luus but was bowled out by Aliya Riaz in the 10th over before she could extend the stand.
The team was 64/3 when veteran all-rounder Marizanne Kapp joined Sune Luus in the middle and began an incredible comeback.
