Interim PM calls important meeting on power theft
During the meeting, caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq will provide the future strategic plan to the Ministry of Energy and Interior.
Islamabad: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar Wednesday called an important meeting on the issue of electricity theft in Pakistan.
According to details, the meeting will be held in the Prime Minister House in the afternoon, in which Power Division will provide a brief details on the situation of electricity theft. The Ministry of Interior will give a detailed briefing on the measures to prevent electricity theft.
Interior Minister Sarfaraz Bugti and the authorities will brief the Prime Minister Kakar regarding the ongoing operations. The measures related to the prevention of electricity theft in the provinces will also be reviewed. Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar will also be informed about the arrest and prosecution of those involved in electricity theft.
During the meeting, caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq will provide the future strategic plan to the Ministry of Energy and Interior.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Home Affairs has prepared a report on electricity theft and prevention measure that will be presented by caretaker Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti.
