Bollywood actress Angelina Jolie demanded a ceasefire in Gaza.
New York: Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has joined the growing chorus of voices demanding a ceasefire and humanitarian aid for the Palestinians.
The actress, best known for her role in 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith,' took to her Instagram account to address the dire situation.
In her heartfelt post, Jolie highlighted the challenges facing Palestinians, emphasizing their lack of access to food, water, and basic necessities, coupled with the absence of safe evacuation options.
She stressed that the fundamental human right to seek refuge across borders is being denied.
Drawing upon her extensive experience working with refugees over the past two decades, Jolie underscored the importance of supporting those who have been displaced by violence, asking, "Isn't the blood of thousands of innocent Palestinians enough?"
The actress pointed out that Gaza, with a population of over two million, half of whom are children, has endured a severe blockade for more than 20 years.
She highlighted that the relief efforts in the region are woefully inadequate, and ongoing bombings are creating new humanitarian needs every day.
Jolie concluded her message by revealing her personal contribution to Doctors Without Borders and urging her followers to do the same, appealing for support for the beleaguered Palestinian population.
