ECP bars National Assembly from recruitment activities
The ECP's letter to the Secretary of the NA contained explicit instructions not to proceed with any recruitment processes in the secretariat.
Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has barred the National Assembly (NA) Secretariat from all recruitment activities on Monday.
According to sources, the ECP's letter to the Secretary of the National Assembly contained explicit instructions not to proceed with any recruitment processes in the secretariat.
The committee has already directed the federal and provincial interim administrations to ensure that all candidates and political parties have an equal opportunity to compete in the next general elections.
In accordance with the Election Act of 2017, the Election Commission announced that it would no longer permit the posting or transfer of public officials without first receiving its written consent. This move is intended to guarantee fair elections.
The Commission has also banned all recruitment practices in federal, provincial, and local government ministries, divisions, departments, or organizations, with the exception of those where prior consent has been granted.
