Last day for deportation of illegal residents In Pakistan
According to Deputy Commissioner Chaman Raja Athar Abbas, there has been an extraordinary increase in voluntary repatriation of Afghan citizens.
Islamabad: Today (Tuesday, October 31) marks the last day of the deadline for deportation of foreign residents living illegally in Pakistan.
Yesterday, about 3000 Afghans arrived at the Pakistan-Afghan border at Bab-e-Dosti to return to Afghanistan, out of which 800 Afghans who arrived late could not enter Afghanistan due to the closing of the gate at the scheduled time.
The district administration have been making announcements in local mosques of remote areas, neighborhoods and villages of the district to vacate the houses. They have been warned that action will be taken against Afghans and landlords who do not vacate their homes before November 01.
Food was also provided to these Afghan families by setting up a residential camp at Bab-e-Dosti Gate.
