PTA announces penalty for returning SIM
It has also been announced that the decision will also apply to e-SIMs users.
Islamabad: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTI) announced a penalty on users for returning SIM.
According to PTA, the authority has decided to impose a fine of Rs200 on return of each SIM as consumers withdraw one million SIMs every month.
The PTA said this decision has been taken to prevent frequent switching of SIMs, remedies for SIMs involved in fraud and to save foreign exchange.
It has also been announced that the decision will also apply to e-SIMs users.
