MQM-P leader says 18ths benefitted only feudal lords
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui pledges that MQM-P would staunchly resist any attempts to exploit the resources and mandate of Karachi city.
Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui criticized the 18th Amendment, asserting it to be a deception that has primarily favored feudal lords rather than benefiting the common people in Sindh.
Siddiqui pledged that MQM-P would staunchly resist any attempts to exploit the resources and mandate of Karachi city. He expressed his belief that Pakistan's constitution provided protection to dictators and tyrants, and his party aimed to contribute to the creation of a more effective constitution, serving as both the party’s manifesto and commitment.
“We will embark on a new journey with courage, ensuring that resources and power are distributed fairly,” he said.
The MQM-P leader stressed the need for the tangible distribution of democratic benefits to the people and categorically rejected any laws or democratic practices that granted a license to oppressors.
